As part of our Sixth Form Enrichment Programme at Watling Academy, we have partnered with Worktree to deliver a series of engaging careers sessions, giving our students the opportunity to hear directly from professionals and business owners across a wide range of industries.
This week, we were delighted to welcome two business owners from the Hair & Beauty and Property Investment sectors. The session gave our students invaluable real-world insight into entrepreneurship, business ownership and the different routes that can lead to success.
It was also fantastic to see our students so engaged. They asked some brilliant and thoughtful questions, with one of our guest speakers commenting that they were some of the best questions he had been asked during these sessions! đź‘Ź
A huge thank you to both of our guest speakers for giving their time and sharing their experiences so openly with our students, and to Worktree for helping us create these valuable connections between education and the world of work.
We’re looking forward to continuing the programme and introducing our students to even more industries, careers, and experiences throughout the year.
